While these days, limewash is primarily used for outdoor painting, it has a long tradition of being
used for finishing both the outside and inside walls of historic buildings. Considering such diverse uses of limewash paint, maybe it’s high time you’ve learned a thing or two about it?
Dear customers,
Ignas would like to wish you all the best in the new year, both in your private and professional life.
As we all know, the past year – 2020 – was not the happiest for the vast majority of people. Just like you, we look with hope to 2021, hoping that what is ahead will be much better than what we leave behind.
What was 2020 like for Ignas – painters and decorators in London?
We came to the conclusion that this is a good time to summarize how the past year has been for us as painters and decorators working in London.
Our experience in 2020 is not much different from that of all mankind. We are all affected by Coronavirus – both privately and professionally. Many projects had to be suspended, some we have suspended ourselves – but we do our best to see the positive aspects of everything.
What made us happy in 2020?
We would like to wholeheartedly thank our clients for the trust they placed in us during this difficult time. We fully understand the fact that many customers have decided to postpone decorating or painting their objects to calmer times – especially at the very beginning of the pandemic when there was a confusing information buzz. We tried to facilitate the procedures of postponing the project to all our clients, in many cases even advising them to do so – especially when for some reason they were at a higher risk.
At the same time, many of our clients have decided to trust us in terms of maintaining safety and hygiene rules. We have made every effort to ensure that, despite the presence of the virus in the public space, we can provide our services while minimizing the risk. We follow all the rules of protection against the spread of the virus, and our clients have repeatedly proved that they trust us and feel safe with us. For this, we express our deep gratitude once again!
What awaits us in 2021?
We all hope 2021 will be a much more successful year both for us and our customers. We intend to continue working on the most challenging yet rewarding commercial and residential projects in and around London.
What makes us very happy is the planned exterior painting and decorating projects in London – mainly in magnificent tenement houses in central, west and north London, as well as interior painting and renovation in other parts of the city.
We are delighted to be able to visit Kensington again as well, where we have high-quality painting and decorating projects scheduled. It is here that we can utilise (not without joy) the highest quality materials and advanced painting and decorating techniques. These will be works within the public sector, which creates new opportunities for development and self-realization.
What are our plans for 2021?
First of all – continue to focus on the highest quality of services and building long-term, lasting relationships with our clients, without who we would not be able to undertake new, ambitious and satisfying projects in the field of painting and decorating in London.
Our plans also include increasing our availability – despite the high demand for high-end painters and decorators in London, we are still open to accepting orders and providing the highest quality services. If you need painters and decorators, don’t hesitate to contact us – we’ll do our best to help you!
Moreover, we also intend to continue to care for the safety of our customers by engaging in training and improving the qualifications of our employees in the field of Health and Safety. The safety and peace of mind of our clients is our highest priorities.
Once again, thank you all very much for 2020 and wish you all the best in 2021!

Interior vs. Exterior Painting – What’s the Difference Between the Two?
While many home-grown renovators look at painting as simple and easy enough to skip
hiring a contractor and do on their own, there’s actually a lot to consider when preparing for
a painting project.
Spring is coming – it’s time to paint and decorate outdoors in London!
At Ignas we are very happy that the weather is slowly but steadily improving! Why is it so important
to us? Apart from the fact that we love the sun, these are also perfect conditions for painting and
decorating the outside of buildings!
