While we were working on a neighbour’s flat, the owner of a beautiful Victorian three-bedroom apartment in Hampstead was quietly observing our work.
A few days later – he became our next client.
But this wasn’t just another residential home painting job. It was something more.
A home full of character – and challenges
The apartment was fully furnished, full of soul, with extensive woodwork and nostalgic decorative details. Every piece of furniture seemed to tell its own story.
The owner had a clear goal:
He wanted to refresh the entire apartment quickly – ideally within three weeks.
What’s more, he planned to leave town, handing us the keys and full responsibility for the project.

We got to work – preparing a detailed schedule, agreeing on colours, assessing the condition of walls and ceilings, and identifying all the repairs and protections needed.
Since the apartment was furnished, we had to work with extra care.
We protected floors, furniture and woodwork, and gently moved certain items to gain access to the walls.
Every step was carried out as if it were our own home.
Delicate decorating to preserve the soul of the home
The goal was to refresh the home without stripping it of its charm.
The client didn’t want a cold, modern space – he wanted it to remain warm and full of character.
We used high-quality washable paints, repaired cracks, and filled all imperfections.
Two walls were badly cracked, so we suggested lining paper, ensuring those walls wouldn’t crack again.
The natural light in the apartment worked beautifully with the new tones, highlighting the space’s cozy, noble atmosphere.
