Night projects are a different world. They require not only precise planning, but also a team that can work fast, quietly, and efficiently. One of our most recent commercial projects was for Enigma in Holborn – an intense, artistic transformation completed entirely during the night.
Fast Refresh with Respect for the Space
This Commercial Decorating project includes the painting of communal areas, corridors and selected laboratory spaces. The scope of work covers walls, skirting boards and doors. The main goal was to freshen up the building efficiently and professionally – without disrupting the daily operations of the companies and research teams working on-site.
Together with the client, we developed a clear strategy to complete the work within a tight timeframe and on a sensible budget. As is often the case, the success of a Commercial Decorating project starts with planning and advice – and our experience allowed us to guide the process with confidence.
What’s more, it’s a real pleasure working with the team managing the building. Their responsiveness, clear communication and support are key factors making this project run smoothly.
Quiet, Clean, Professional – Decorating While the Building Remains Active
Our team of Commercial Painters operates discreetly – maintaining silence, cleanliness, and a high standard of professionalism at all times. We protect all surfaces properly, and maintain clear communication with the building’s management throughout.
We’re using only water-based paints with low VOC content, Class 1 wet scrub resistance (EN 13300 standard), and properties that make them suitable for laboratory and office settings. These coatings are fast-drying, odourless and easy to clean – ideal for environments with elevated hygiene standards.
The project will be completed quickly and efficiently, without affecting the building’s layout or daily use.

Specialist Commercial Projects Are Our Strength
This project is a perfect example of what Commercial Decorating means to us – not just surface-level aesthetics, but an understanding of the space and how it’s used. Projects that require precision, sensitivity and seamless coordination – all while maintaining high hygiene and safety standards – are exactly what we do best.
We truly enjoy this type of work. It allows us to combine technical expertise with attention to detail and great organisation.
A Team That Understands Commercial Environments
Our Commercial Painters are experienced professionals – not only technically, but also in how they approach active working environments. They value order, silence, and precision. They understand that painting in a live lab-and-office building is about more than just applying colour – it’s about responsibility.
We’re proud to be leading this Stevenage project – as a team that sees more than just walls.
We’ll soon be publishing a full case study of this project – you’ll be able to find it in our commercial case study section. In the meantime, feel free to explore some of our other projects here: https://ignas.london/commercial-case-studies/

Professional Painters and Decorators – My Experience Working in Art Galleries
When people think of professional painters and decorators, they often imagine residential interiors or commercial offices. But painting an art gallery is a world of its own – and it’s something I’ve grown to understand deeply over the years.
Offices Painters – What Commercial Office Painting Really Looks Like
Office painting is much more than just applying paint to walls. It’s about planning, strategy, logistics, and adapting to a space that often remains fully operational throughout the process.
