Our long-time client – a general contractor with high standards – approached us to help complete a truly special penthouse in Knightsbridge. From the start, it was clear this wasn’t just about painting. Every element had to be perfect – from the plastering and choice of materials to the wallpaper finish.
Perfection starts beneath the surface
Our work began with high-level plastering. The IGNAS team installed mesh reinforcement and premium-grade smoothing materials to create perfectly even surfaces. We used the skim coat method, carefully building up each layer on walls and ceilings. Some of the ceilings, particularly those lower in height and lit from multiple directions, became the ultimate test. The result? Mirror-smooth finishes – with no streaks, lines, or texture inconsistencies – just as the client required.
Premium paints that tell a story
We used paints from Farrow & Ball and Little Greene – not just for their beauty, but for their depth and resilience. Each colour was selected with the client to evoke a luxurious yet warm atmosphere. Every line was sharp, every wall consistent. From corner to corner, nothing was left to chance.
Wallpapering with precision
Several rooms featured exclusive textile wallpapers. Application was handled by our in-house specialist – a true master of her craft. The material was delicate, high-value, and demanding. Patterns matched precisely, textures remained intact. This is where precision meets calm, steady hands.
Teamwork and quality control
Up to eight people worked on site – decorators, plasterers, and detail specialists. Our project manager was present throughout, ensuring constant communication and quality checks. Every phase was documented, discussed, and refined as needed. We also completed minor external works – focusing on woodwork like windows and doors – using durable, weather-resistant products.
We came back again – and again
